Add an Event Widget to the Dashboard

This article will show you how to add an event widget to your HomeSeer Mobile dashboard.

On Android:

From the Events section of the app, the different event groups in your HomeSeer system will be listed. Tapping an event group will expand it to show all of the events in that group. Once the individual events are viewable, tapping one will open a small menu giving you the option to run the event, as well as the two options to add the device to your dashboard:

  • Add to Dashboard: Selecting this will bring you to the New Widget page, where you can select what does and does not display using the check boxes on the right. This includes the name of the even, which can be edited, a play button to quickly run the event, and the option to confirm that the event will run before running it. You may also select which dashboard the widget is added to.
  • Quick Add To Dashboard: This option adds an event to your dashboard immediately. The only option to choose from is which dashboard to add the widget to, if you have more than one.

You can also long-press the name of your event to see the options above.

On iOS:

When opening Events page in the app, all event groups will be listed, displaying the events within. Here, you can tap the three-dot menu button for an event, which will open a menu at the bottom of the screen with three options: Run Event, Add to Dashboard, or Quick add to Dashboard:

  • Add to Dashboard: Selecting this will bring you to the Create/Edit Event Widget page, where you can select what does and does not display by tapping the eye icons. The name of the widget for this event can be edited by clicking the pencil icon by the event's name. You may also select which dashboard the widget is added to and resize it.
  • Quick Add To Dashboard: This option adds an event to your Dashboard immediately. The only option to choose from is which dashboard to add the widget to, if you have more than one.
