Timer & Counter Triggered Events

These events will trigger based on the value of custom timers or counters.

Overview

HS4 custom timers and counters provide additional triggers, conditions and actions for enhanced automation functionality. 

Timers

In this example, a garage light is turned off when a timer reaches 5 minutes. The timer itself can be controlled by another device, like a motion sensor, restarting every time motion is sensed. The net effect is that light will remain on in the garage until 5 minutes after the last motion is sensed.

Counters

In this example, a spoken alert is issued when a water pump counter reaches 10. The counter can be controlled by energy sensing outlets or smart plugs.
